GOOD FOOD. THOUGHTFUL CHOICES.
The mountains that inspire our kitchen remind us to be thoughtful about what we put on the table.
OUR COMMITMENT
At Aama Himalayan Kitchen, we believe that good food should come with a sense of responsibility towards the world around us.
For us, sustainability is not a trend or a marketing statement. It is an ongoing commitment reflected in the ingredients we choose, the people and traditions we support, and the everyday decisions we make.
We strive to make thoughtful choices at every stage, from sourcing our ingredients to the way we present our food.
FROM THE SOURCE
At Aama Himalayan Kitchen, we use KRAV-certified chicken alongside a selection of other organically produced ingredients (ekologiska produkter) in the preparation of our menu items.
KRAV is a well-known Swedish organic certification organisation. Its standards go beyond conventional EU organic requirements, addressing areas such as animal welfare, biodiversity and climate responsibility.
By choosing KRAV-certified and other organic ingredients wherever possible, we aim to support more responsible food production and bring quality and care to the meals we prepare.
CRAFTED WITH PURPOSE
Sustainability also lives in the things we use every day. At Aama, even our cups have a story to tell.

FROM NEPAL, WITH CARE
Our handcrafted stoneware comes from a family-run ceramics maker in Nepal, with a heritage dating back to 1985.
Made using locally sourced Himalayan red clay and shaped through skilled craftsmanship, these pieces connect traditional knowledge with contemporary design.
Stoneware is fired at high temperatures, making it dense, sturdy and durable. We appreciate these qualities because we believe in choosing products that are made to be used, cherished and enjoyed over time.
Rather than treating tableware as something disposable, we choose reusable ceramics that bring warmth, character and a sense of permanence to the dining experience.
Every cup is a small reminder that craftsmanship, heritage and thoughtful choices have a place in modern everyday life.
ONE CHOICE AT A TIME
We know that sustainability is a continuous journey, not something that can be achieved overnight.
At Aama, we continue to explore better sourcing choices, appreciate traditional craftsmanship and make considered decisions about the products and materials we bring into our space.
We may be a small kitchen, but we believe that meaningful change can begin with small, conscious choices.
Because caring for the earth should be part of everything we share.

A LITTLE MORE CLARITY
Useful answers for a more considered visit.
Open the menu and use the vegan filter. Each dish page includes its description and dietary labels so you can explore before you visit.
Yes. Speak with our team before ordering. A vegan or vegetarian label describes the type of dish; it does not guarantee that a dish is suitable for a particular allergy.
Ask us about the ingredients or packaging relevant to your order. Our team can discuss the current details rather than relying on a general statement for every dish.
For groups of up to 12, send a table request and include your preferences. For larger groups, call us to discuss your visit and the options available.
